A great day on Shore Drive and inside Chicks Beach.
We started out at “R” Bar & Grille where we found some folks enjoying the tennis match and a “Favorite Beverage”.
After we left “R” Bar & Grille we headed to CP Shuckers for a few cold ones on a hot day.
The
Bartender was great and the Special Soup of the Day was Oysters Rockefeller Bisque. It was delicious!
CP’s has flat screens EVERY WHERE! There’s not a seat in the whole house that doesn’t have a view of the screens.
After that we headed to the Green Parrot for a “Favorite Beverage” where we met some friends and our favorite bar staff.
Once again the kitchen at Alexander’s out did themselves. We sat at the bar overlooking the Chesapeake Bay enjoying a movie on one of their two brand new giant flat screen TVs.
After Alexander’s we brought them to the Green Parrot Grille. The food at the Green Parrot has come a long way from ok to perfectly excellent and being Sunday night it was the Prime Rib Special.

It was one of the largest pieces of meat in Chicks Beach, pound for pound… The T-Bone was large and we even saved the bone for Jackson, he was a happy dog when we made it home…

We stayed for some great sets by the great Dahna Rowe, she rocks! It was open Mic night so there were a few folks that tried their talent but none came close to hanging with Dahna.
Once again thanks to the businesses and staff we had a wonderful holiday weekend on Shore Dr. & inside Chicks Beach.

Thursday July 3rd brought us to Chicks Beach for some good food and our “Favorite Beverage”. We started at the Green Parrot Grille for Happy Hour (Daily 12noon – 8:00pm) $1.75 Domestic Bottles and Well Drinks $2.25 Coronas.
We got some good shots of the new outdoor patio the Parrot has and it even has a serving window for those out on the patio.
From the Parrot we made our way to Alexander’s on the Bay. The valet was great and on time. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the best view from a Bay side Bar in Virginia Beach. Alexander’s has the best view of the Bay and Bridge Tunnel from the bar in Virginia Beach.
There were plenty of people on the beach on this great day. It seems we were not the only ones taking an early holiday stretching the holiday by a day starting Thursday and going until next Tuesday.
That being said expect more photos and good times about Chicks Beach and check back at the site often for updates from the Mayor, The Producer and Trixy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week was especially good at Yellow Fins (Where the Old Second Alarm used to be). We had Fresh Flounder and tons of Crab Legs that where easily the largest on Shore Drive that day. The food was accompanied by boiled potatoes and vegetables and plenty of our “Favorite Beverages”.
Happy Hour starts at 4:00pm at Yellow Fins, so make sure to get down there. It’s easy to get in and out of a spacious parking lot. They offer smoking and Non-Smoking sections that are literally separated by the two sides of the building so there’s no fear of smoke entering the Non-Smoking section.
